Transforming a chance holiday discovery into a hugely successful home fragrance business, Debbie Knight has now harnessed her 11 years plus experience working with industry leaders to launch her own new luxury fragrance brand, Senti.
In 2005 Debbie went on her first family holiday after recovering from a life changing illness. The plan was to ski but a lack of snowfall in the mountains led Debbie and her family to Florence and it was there that her imagination was captured by the exquisite scents that floated through her hotel – it was a wonderful perfume that calmed and soothed, always present but never overwhelming. Upon returning home to the UK Debbie left her role in events and immediately set about building her knowledge of the home fragrance industry, working with expert perfumers and front running brands to hone her skills and build a business. Debbie then spent 10 years running a hugely successful business which imported and sold leading luxury home fragrance brands through her Wimbledon Village Boutique and into the UKs leading department stores including The Conran Shop, Fortum & Mason, Harrods and Liberty. An astute business woman with an impeccable eye for detail and nose for scent, in 2016 Debbie decided to change her business model. Moving away from just being an importer and sales vehicle for brands, Debbie decided to create her own brand and product range of fragrances. With an esteemed industry reputation and loyal client following Debbie has launched Senti, a new collection of luxury home fragrances.
